Orders
The Orders section within Seller Central governs transaction visibility, order processing and financial tracking across the account. It provides oversight of customer purchases, order status, payment flow and certain post-purchase processes linked to fulfilment.
While fulfilment may be handled by FBA or the seller directly, visibility over orders is critical to maintaining operational stability and protecting customer experience. Order accuracy, timely processing and financial reconciliation all influence account health and long-term performance.
For our clients, the Orders category is important because it connects sales performance to operational execution. It allows oversight of transaction trends, identification of fulfilment issues and monitoring of revenue flow. Even where we do not process orders directly, visibility ensures we can detect risks early and align operational performance with growth strategy.
Manage Orders – Edit Access Required
Manage Orders provides direct visibility and control over customer orders placed within the Amazon account. It includes access to order status, fulfilment details, buyer information relevant to dispatch and transaction records linked to each sale.
This permission is beneficial because order accuracy and fulfilment execution directly impact account health, customer satisfaction and performance metrics. Delays, cancellations or fulfilment errors can affect seller metrics and potentially reduce Buy Box eligibility. Active oversight ensures operational issues do not undermine sales momentum.
We require Edit-level access because certain actions within the Orders interface, such as confirming dispatch, updating order status or managing fulfilment-related details for seller-fulfilled items, require operational interaction. View-only access would not allow us to intervene if corrective action is needed.
With this level of access, clients should expect:
- Monitoring of live order flow and sales velocity
- Oversight of seller-fulfilled dispatch confirmations
- Identification of fulfilment delays or irregularities
- Early detection of cancellation or processing issues
- Escalation of operational risks that may impact account metrics
- Alignment between fulfilment performance and advertising activity
Transactions – Edit Access Required
Transactions provides detailed visibility into the financial activity of the Amazon account. It includes order-level payment data, fees, refunds, adjustments and settlement breakdowns. This section connects revenue performance with actual cash flow and fee allocation.
This permission is beneficial because understanding transaction-level detail is essential for accurate profitability analysis. Gross sales figures alone do not reflect net performance. Fees, refunds and adjustments must be reconciled to evaluate true contribution margin and identify discrepancies.
We require Edit-level access because interacting with transaction records, downloading detailed reports and managing financial review processes requires operational access within Seller Central. This ensures we can analyse and reconcile financial activity when required.
With this level of access, clients should expect:
- Review of order-level financial breakdowns
- Identification of unexpected fee or adjustment patterns
- Monitoring of refund and chargeback impact
- Cross-referencing transaction data with FBA fees and advertising spend
- Support in identifying discrepancies requiring escalation
- Commercial insight into net profitability trends
